Flash stock full or OTA ZIP Rom OnePlus

Flash stock full or OTA ZIP Rom on your OnePlus Android devices

If you want to flash a flashable stock ZIP rom file to an OnePlus Android device, it’s actually not that hard to do. To do such a thing, stock recovery is generally the first thing that comes to mind.
However, if you have not a stock recovery, you can also flash it by using a custom recovery, such as TWRP and CWM, either in a full stock ZIP rom or a stock OTA ZIP file.

Well, how do we go about doing this flashing work? I think which is why you came here, no?
First, you need to know how to enter into Recovery Mode on an OnePlus Android device, you can usually do this by according to the following information:

  • Power Off the device
  • Power On the device by holding down Power button and Volume Down button
  • When the device responds let go
  • Your OnePlus will boot into Recovery Mode
  • You can select related options by touching the screen accordingly

Flash ZIP Rom By Using Stock Recovery
  • Copy ZIP Rom file to your OnePlus Android device’s internal storage
  • Boot your OnePlus Android device into Recovery Mode
  • Select Apply Update

  • Go to the folder where your ZIP Rom file you copied is located, select your ZIP Rom file, such as Cyanogen-cm-Oxygen-signed.zip
  • The flash will automatically start Once the flash process is finished, your OnePlus device will return to Recovery Mode Select Reboot System Now to reboot your device

Flash ZIP Rom By Using Custom Recovery

Let us take, for example, TWRP.
  • Make sure that you have a custom recovery on your OnePlus Android device, such as TWRP
  • Copy ZIP Rom file to your OnePlus Android device
  • Boot your OnePlus Android device into Recovery Mode, at this point, you will enter into TWRP Recovery Mode
  • Select Wipe from the TWRP main menu
  • Select Advanced wipe
  • Wipe Dalvik cache, system and cache
  • Back to the TWRP main menu
  • Select Install
  • Go to the folder where your ZIP Rom file you copied is located, select your ZIP Rom file, such as Cyanogen-cm-Oxygen-signed.zip
  • Swipe to confirm flash
  • The flash will start
  • Once the flash process is finished, reboot your device

Root and Recovery Xperia Z3 Marsmellow

Root and Recovery Xperia Z3 Marsmellow .575/.291 LB/UB

This tutorial for Z3 version D6603, D6653, D6633, D6646 and D6643

The order is this:
  • Update to .291 as usual via OTA from Sony or flashing directly.
  • Make sure you have ADB set up correctly.
  • Use FlashTool to flash the attached .575_kernel.zip for your device before running the recovery tool. You need to re-name the zip and change the .zip extension to .ftf before flashing it!
  • Download Recovery_for_MM575-291v5.zip and extract it.
  • Enable USB-debugging on your phone and plug phone to computer via USB
  • Run install.bat (as Admin just to be sure)
  • After running the tool you should boot straight into recovery. Then flash Super-SU-Update for ROOT your phone, put it on the device in or on a USB stick if device is encrypted.
  • Re-flash the .291 KERNEL back again, without losing root or recovery, with Flashtool using the attached .291_kernel.zip for your device. Again, change/re-name the .zip extension to .ftf first!

*Additional Notes*
If on Windows, in FolderSettings - Show file extensions to be able to rename from ZIP to FTF.
  • Assuming it has booted to TWRP after running the tool, to re-enter it, press volume down during re-boot when you see the green LED and feel a vibration. You have 2 seconds to do it. No need to smash volume down repeatedly.
  • Reboot apps DO NOT WORK on Sony MM.
  • Install a new busybox through Play store at your own risk. Some will break recovery, some won't.
  • Some apps install their own busybox. This can also break recovery. If this happens, try running the tool again.

File you need :

Super-SU-update - download

Recovery_for_MM575-291v5 - download

D6603-6653_23.5.A.0.575_kernel - download
