List of Samsung Galaxy CSC Code

What is CSC?

CSC stands for Country Specific Code. It is unique for each country or region or network carrier. Here, we have created a list of all the CSC or product code along with the country or carrier it belongs to. We have basically categorized the Multi-CSC into 4 parts. The first belongs to various telecom carriers in the United Stated like Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and more. Second and third consists of similar carriers in Canada and the Vodafone. Lastly, we have listed the global or international variants.

When it comes to Samsung Android phones, firmware update files and their exact names is very important. The firmware build number for Samsung devices is categorized into two sections, namely, PDA and CSC. The PDA consists of the update build number with Android system changes and the CSC consists of country specific changes. So all the global changes to the core TouchWiz or Samsung Experience 8.1 is contained within the PDA number. Whereas, the CSC is more of a country or network carrier specific update log for features like wallpapers, wifi calling, VoLTE, sounds etc.

You don’t have to worry about CSC if you are simply downloading OTA updates officially from Samsung. However, for advanced users who like to root their Samsung device via latest TWRP recovery, may need to restore the device to complete stock at some point in order to update their device manually. Like to a newer version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. For this, you will need the full stock firmware and flash it using the latest Odin tool (specifically designed for Samsung phones). So in order to download the exact firmware file for your device, you need to know the CSC version as well.

In order to find the exact CSC for your service from the below list, do a search of the country or carrier it belongs to. On your keyboard hold Ctrl + F keys and type the country name. It is a long list.

Unlock Bootloader Neo / Neo V

There is 2 ways to unlock your bootloader, Sony Official Way and Unofficial Way (Test Point Mode).

Make sure your device can be unlocked “Type: on Dialer: *#*#7378423#*#*
Bootloader Unlock Allowed : [Yes]

1. Sony Official Way

Sony has provided a website where we get an unlock code for each IMEI no. type in that code and your bootloader will get unlocked officially . This is the easiest unlocking method possible . Wait there's more , official unlocking method does more bad than good , like
1. will void warranty
2. Will loose DRM & track Id related stuff
3. No official phone updates via SEUS/PCC or OTA

If you don't care about them please go ahead and click this LINK and follow on-screen instructions on that site.
or
You can use Flashtool with Unlockbootloader plugin. You can download Flashtool in this website LINK

2. Unofficial Way (test point mode

This method overcomes all the three limitations , but you will need to do a little work manually , this method introduces us to a new word called Test Point (Of all those 8 golden points , only the point which is indicated by the arrow is the Test Point  .For NEO V test point is located deep within a slot covered by a black patch which is above our sim card slot (see this picture and remove the black covering) .

It is used for function-test during production. & we are going to ground that testpoint using a simple wire .instead of that pin you can use any conducting material (wire , safety pin , paper clip , but make sure its diameter is not more than that of the test point else it will touch other points and might brick your phone)

Ground : ground is refereed as the negative battery pin of the phone

STEPs :

Download & extract S1tool from this LINK

Run s1tool, press 'Patch semcboot' and follow instruction.

Using S1Tool

 1. Click in IDENTIFY button. Connect your device in flashmode, turn off your device, press and hold "BACK Button". Information abbout yur device will appear. after that, unplug your device.
 2. Connect test point to the ground and attach USB cable. Wait while Windows shows finding new device. Windows won't find appropriate drivers. select drivers manually from the archive of S1tool. Agree to install 'untrusted' drivers.
 3. Click Patch SEMCBoot and follow instruction

Check these strings in Loader Version
If the strings begin with "R" big "R" then bootloader is LOCKED
If the strings begin with "r" small "r" then bootloader is UNLOCKED

RELOCK : : ONLY THE RESTORE BUTTON PRESENT IN S1TOOL WILL RELOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER , other procedures will not work.Connecting TP to ground while using RESTORE button is not necessary.

Link2SD - Move Application to SDCard

Link2SD is an application that makes it easy for Android 1.6+ users with root privileges on their phone to move applications to the SD card.
The idea behind is same with apps2sd scripts, linking applications to SD card's second partition but differs in two ways.
One, instead of linking /data/app folder (that means moving all applications), you can select applications that you want to move.
Two, it's an application which means has a user interface. You can manage your applications with few clicks.
It also provides native apps2sd features on Android 2.2 and higher. It can move any non-protected user apps to SD card (force move), with batch moving capability.
That feature uses Android's standard SD-card installation feature and does not require a second partition. It can break some apps if they are not meant to be moved to the SD card (Such as Widgets).

Features:
- Create and remove link for apk, dex and lib files of the applications you select
- Automatically link newly installed apps (optional)
- Move any user apps to SD even though the app does not support moving to SD (for Android 2.2 and higher)
- Set the default install location of the apps; auto, internal, or external (for Android 2.2 and higher)
- Batch link, unlink, reinstall, uninstall, "move to SD", "move to phone" functions (multi-select mode)
- Uninstall system applications
- List applications, show detailed size information and link status
- Sort and filter applications
- Display available space information of internal storage, SD card and SD card 2nd partition
What you need:
- root permission.
- a second partition on your SD card.
You should have two partitions on SD card and both should be primary.
The first FAT partition is your standard SD card storage. The second partition is used for application files and can be ext2, ext3, ext4 or FAT32.
Some phones lack the ext2, ext3 or ext4 file system support and you may get mount errors like "no such device", "invalid argument". These phones need ext2.ko or ext3.ko modules and even some additional modules to be able to mount. Using FAT32 on the second partition will eleminate such problems, because FAT32 is supported on all phones.
Link2SD does not create the second partition, you need to create it yourself. You can use any partition manager such as Minitool, Paragon, Easeus etc. for this.
How it works:
Link2SD mounts the second partition of your SD card and makes OS mounts it at boot time.
When press "Create Link" button Link2SD moves apk file, dalvik-cache (.dex) file and lib files (.so) to SD card's 2nd partition and creates symbolic links in original directories.
Note: On Android 1.6 and 2.1, shortcut and the widget of the app should be re-added to homescreen if you move the apk file.
You can remove the links and put application files back to phone. Just click on "Remove Link" button.
What happens if I uninstall or update a linked application?
If you uninstall a linked app its apk, dex and lib files will be automatically deleted from the SD card by Link2SD.
If you update a linked app new apk, dex and lib files will be placed in the internal memory at first and then they will be automatically relinked by Link2SD in the background.
You don't have to manually relink after updating apps.
Note: Since the app is linked again, On Android 1.6 and 2.1, shortcut and the widget of the app should be re-added to homescreen if the apk file is linked
Some points
- System applications should not be linked to SD card. Link2SD does not allow these applications to be linked.
- When you connect your phone to PC as mass storage, Android unmounts the first FAT partition but the second partition remains mounted. Therefore linked applications are not affected and can be run without problems.
- Link2SD does not move application's private data directory; it moves apk, dex (dalvik-cache) and lib files.
